John C. Matteucci, Jr., MD, FACS

John C Matteucci“I grew up in a medical family. My father is a dentist. My mom is a nurse. One uncle was a surgeon and another was a pharmacist. So, in a way, I have always been predisposed to a career in healthcare. A sense of obligation to help others is the characteristic I inherited. It motivates me each and every day.

I like to be challenged — to tackle a problem and resolve it. That makes me a good fit for urology. But what I enjoy most of all is being able to make a difference in the lives of people. I never forget that you’re trusting me not just with your health, but with medical issues that are often unpleasant and of a sensitive nature. So my goal is to deliver the most advanced solutions, the most appropriate care and the best possible results. This is what I would want for my family members, so it’s what I strive for every day.”
